eBASE Africa partnered with the District Health Service of Bali, Cameroon, to reduce complex malaria cases through the promotion of evidence-based practices. Dr. Patrick Okwen spearheaded a project dedicated to enhancing malaria management in children under five. The initiative encompassed engaging stakeholders, conducting baseline assessments, and implementing interventions to bolster adherence to evidence-based guidelines. Educational efforts targeting laboratory technicians and parents yielded notable advancements in compliance and patient documentation. Ongoing assessments indicated a marked increase in adherence, positioning Bali as a benchmark district for malaria control in Cameroon. Sustaining optimal practices hinged on regular feedback sessions and local leadership.
