At eBASE Africa, Gender, Equity, and Inclusion is not a standalone program. It is a cross-cutting commitment embedded throughout our education, health, and evidence initiatives. GEI ensures that our work remains contextually relevant, inclusive, and impactful.
Our strategy guides how we design and deliver basic services—so that every person, regardless of gender, ability, or background, has fair and meaningful access. It also shapes how we generate, translate, and apply evidence, ensuring that research reflects diverse realities and drives equitable outcomes.
GEI helps us identify and address systemic barriers that limit participation, representation, or results for underserved populations, including women, persons with disabilities, indigenous communities, and the economically marginalized.
Our GEI objectives are to:
- Embed GEI principles across all operations and programs
- Improve access and outcomes for marginalized groups
- Tailor services to meet diverse cultural and contextual needs
- Track and learn from equity-focused indicators
- Strengthen the evidence ecosystem to reflect and respond to lived experience
